Rick Friedfeld is a Certified Public Accountant who received his MBA in taxation from the University of Miami. He is an accomplished senior executive providing hands-on experience in healthcare, pharmacy, finance and public accounting.
Prior to joining Health Choice Network, Mr. Friedfeld was the C.F.O and V.P. of Finance for a 72 provider multi-specialty behavioral health medical practice, providing counseling, treatment, and clinical trials research services with offices in Florida, South Carolina, and Colorado. He also served in the same capacity of C.F.O. and V.P. of Finance for a national pharmacy that serviced all fifty states and Puerto Rico. He was directly responsible for increasing the patient base from 7,000 to nearly 30,000 patients during his six years in that position, securing a top 10 national ranking in size among Medicare Accredited diabetic resource providers. From 1991-2004 he was the President and Managing Director of a public accounting and healthcare consulting firm specializing in personal and corporate tax matters for closely held businesses and their shareholders.
Mr. Friedfeld has written several articles for numerous medical publications including M.D. News, Medical Business, Florida Healthcare Report and Hospital News, Today’s Family Health and various other medical society journals. He was a founding member of the CPA Healthcare Network and Affiliated Healthcare Advisors, and currently serves on the Health Care Industry and the Not for Profit Committees for the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Friedfeld is a financial expert that truly understands the multiple facets of the healthcare industry, its trends and its future.
