Mikaela “Mika” Isaiah

Foundation Board Member

Mikaela Isaias is an exceptional young woman who speaks English, Spanish, and French. A student leader with experience in public service, the performing arts, and community outreach, she brings curiosity, compassion, and a commitment to serving others to her work.

Through internships in the offices of Congresswoman Maria Elvira Salazar and U.S. Senator Ashley Moody, Mikaela has supported constituent communications, monitored local news, and participated in community outreach. Her foreign policy apprenticeship with the U.S. Department of State offered firsthand exposure to diplomacy, global communications, and legislative affairs, including conversations with senior department leadership.

As a judicial apprentice in the chambers of Judge E. Venzer, Mikaela was the only high school student among undergraduate participants. She reviewed and summarized court materials and observed judicial proceedings, deepening her interest in human behavior and the justice system. She further explored that interest through Georgetown University’s pre-college psychology course, earning an A while balancing her high school coursework.

Mikaela’s commitment to inclusion is reflected in her role as cofounder and vice president of Gulliver’s Best Buddies chapter. She helped establish the chapter, recruit members, and lead activities for young people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Through Achieve Miami, she has also mentored children through reading, academic enrichment, and relationship-building activities.

Her background in acting, singing, and dance at MoonAmie Productions has grown into opportunities to teach and mentor younger performers. As an intern and mentor, she helped lead choreography, improvisation, and classes, bringing together her creativity and enthusiasm for working with children.
