Nikelson Pierre is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in Miami, Florida and has been practicing in the Healthcare field for over 10 years. Currently feeling fortunate to deliver compassionate and high quality of care at Agape Network to patients. He is amaze to be part of a great team that focuses on addressing health issues experienced by individuals and families today, and providing holistic care.
Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, his motivations to become a psychiatric provider stem from his early childhood experiences when he saw human beings suffering from mental illnesses in the street of Port-au-Prince, having family members in Haiti struggling with their mental state. After finishing High school he started to study Medicine in Dominican Republic, due to some personal reasons 1 year later he went back to Haiti. Once he got back to Haiti, he participated in a competition for a scholarship in Economics, he won and completed a 4 year degree.
Nikelson earned his degree in Psychiatric Nursing Practitioner from Walden University in 2022, 10 years after immigrated to the United States. As soon as he entered the US in 2012, he starts working in the Healthcare field as a nursing assistant while he was going to school to become a Registered Nurse, and eventually a psychiatric nurse practitioner. Throughout the Covid pandemic, he works as a registered nurse for almost 2 years in several states, putting his life and energy to help saving lives of others. It is always a pleasure for him to see improvement in patients’ conditions, being an advocate for them, and make them feel that they are heard and seen.
Nikelson is a member of American Psychiatric Nurses Association ,American Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau International. Fluent in English, Spanish , Haitian Creole and French. He is an advocate for immigrants, the people that are neglected and abused on any form
